Rice Mathematics Position Announcement

Tenure Track Position

The Department of Mathematics of Rice University, located in Houston, Texas, invites applications for the position of Tenure-Track Assistant Professor. Exceptionally qualified candidates can be considered at higher rank. Applicants should have an extremely strong research record and provide evidence of success in teaching. Required education is a PhD or PhD requirements fulfilled by November 1, 2017, in Mathematics or related field. The position will entail performing research in Mathematics, teaching undergraduates and graduate classes, and mentoring students.

(1) The American Mathematics Society cover sheet,
(2) a curriculum vitae,
(3) at least three letters of recommendation, including one discussing teaching abilities,
(4) a description of research program,
(5) a statement concerning teaching philosophy.
