Jean-Francoise Quint (CNRS Paris XIII)

Given a Lie group *G* (for example SL*(n,R)*) a lattice Λ of *G* (for example SL*(n,Z)*), the subgroups of *G* act in the quotient space *G*/Λ. If Γ is such a subgroup, in some cases, one can give a classification of the Γ-orbits closures. I will give new such examples, in which the classifications follows from the study of random walks in *G*/Λ. This is a joint work with Yves Benoist.
