Stulken Geometry-Analysis Seminar: Operator Renewal Theory and Mixing Rates for Dynamical Systems with Infinite Measure

In joint work with Dalia Terhesiu, we obtain results on mixing and rates of mixing (decay of L^n where L is the Perron-Frobenius / transfer operator) for a large class of dynamical systems with infinite invariant ergodic measure. The class of systems includes interval maps with indifferent fixed points (including Pomeau-Manneville intermittency maps) and parabolic rational maps of the complex plane.
