THE ERGODIC THEORY WORKING SEMINAR: The Discrete Bessel Process.
by
Alexander Bufetov (Rice Univ.) in HB 227
The discrete Bessel process was introduced by Borodin, Okounkov and Olshanski and, independently and simultaneously, by Johansson, in the study of large Young diagrams. Our first meeting will be devoted to an elementary detail-oriented discussion of the properties of the discrete Bessel process. Many open problems. Graduate students especially welcome. -------- Host Department: Rice University-Mathematics Submitted by mageemd@rice.edu |
