I am a fifth-year Ph.D. student in Mathematics at Rice University studying under the direction of Professor Tim Cochran. I study low-dimensional and geometric topology, primarily through knot concordance, but I'm also interested in contact topology and knot homologies.
This summer, I will be an assistant at the Rice Mathematics Institute for Young Women, a summer program in knot theory for high school girls directed by Professor Shelly Harvey. I was also invited to speak at the AMS Western Section Meeting at Unversity of Nevada, Las Vegas. You can see my slides from this talk under Research. I will also be teaching Single Variable Calculus II during the summer semester. Check out my CV if you're interested!
I am also a dedicated runner and yoga enthusiast. I have completed four marathons (including most recently the 115th Boston Marathon) as well as several shorter distance events. I look forward to running my fifth with my father in October. It will be his first marathon.
