Colin Carroll

Welcome to my website! I am a fifth year graduate student in mathematics at Rice University, studying with Dr. Robert Hardt. My research lies in geometric analysis, using the tools of geometric measure theory. In particular, I am investigating minimizers of the coarea functional using analytic, geometric and variational means. If you are interested, please contact me, or see my research statement. I also have course material under the teaching tab, though much of it is still hidden away on Owlspace.

Also, I keep a personal blog which can be found here, and has some (I think!) interesting math-y content, including plenty of pictures and graphs, presented usually at a calculus or lower level.
