Pseudo-effective Reduction Maps
Brian Lehmann, MIT

Abstract: The Iitaka fibration \phi associated to an effective divisor L is a basic object of study in birational geometry. The pseudo-effective reduction map for L is an "approximation" of \phi that depends only on the numerical class of L (and thus may be easier to understand than \phi itself). This map is particularly interesting for the canonical divisor, as it is closely related to the Abundance Conjecture.
