Toric Stacks
Matthew Satriano, University of Michigan

We will not assume any prior knowledge of stacks for this talk. Toric varieties form a concrete class of varieties where one can do computations and test conjectures. We will discuss an analogous class within the world of stacks. We will also discuss a (non-stacky) application of the theory: generalizing the classical Chevalley-Shephard-Todd theorem. This is based on joint work with Anton Geraschenko.
