Random Matrix Central Limit Theorems for Non-Intersecting Walks and Related Models

Random matrix limiting distributions have been shown to arise in
a variety of surprising combinatorial and probabilistic settings.This
development has motivated a great deal of research in the last decade. In
this talk I will recall some of the main results in this direction and
then describe some of my recent work with J. Baik on central limit
theorems for non-intersecting random walks and last passage percolation.
