Look again at the multiplication problem that we just saw: Bobby ate 1/2 of 2/3 of a pizza.

What fraction of a whole pizza did he eat?

     

Red is 2/3 of one pizza.


     
     

Yellow is1/2 of 2/3.

Yellow is 2/6 or 1/ 3 of the whole pizza.


Let's write the fraction of the pizza that Bobby ate.
