#1 I Gotta Get Out of This Place! Here's what I want you to do. I live in Houston, Texas, USA. I want to get as far away from here as possible. (No I didn't rob a bank). Tell me where I should go, and how far it is from here. Give me the latitude and longitude of my destination. When you get there, scroll down a little and fill out the form. You're there. By the way, while you're there, find the point on the earth at a maximum distance from your home.

#2 The Three Evil Dictators To keep them from fighting, you must separate three evil dictators as far away from each other as possible on the surface of the earth. If you put one in Los Angeles, California, name two other places where the other two could be placed so that all are equidistant, and at maximum distances from each other. (Yes, you can put them in the ocean if you have to.)

| #3 Scale The International Map of the World, also called the Millionth Map, uses a scale of 1:1,000,000 (1 centimeter = 10 kilometers). How far is it from New York to Singapore, and what would be the approximate distance on this map? (Ignore any projection distortions).

Algebra The system of equations 2x + 3y = 96 and x + 2y = 42 gives the courses of two freighters headed in a southeasterly direction in the Indian Ocean where x represents latitude and y represents longitude. Will the freighters meet? If so, where? (State your answer in an ordered pair representing latitude and longitude).
