Publishing on the Web- It's Your Turn *Write a Lesson*

In this session you will create a lesson that uses Internet resources, write it in HTML, and submit it to CRPC's GirlTECH for possible publication in our list of lessons.

Remember the criteria with which we are evaluating the lessons.

• accuracy
• creative activities
• attractiveness
• graphics
• use of the Web
• links to related sites
• teacher instructions
• assessment of student learning

Instructions for Using Lesson Template

1. Read through the following directions.
2. Open the lesson template with your browser.
3. Save this file and remember the saved location.
4. Open the file in a word processor application.
5. Edit the file replacing the appropriate prompts and write your lesson.
6. Save the file and view in browser. (Note that the image cannot be viewed from your saved file.) You are welcome to find other images and links to incorporate into your lesson.
7. When completed, send the file/s (HTML and image files) as an attachment via e-mail to Cynthia Lanius; lanius@math.rice.edu. The lesson will be reviewed and considered for posting on the GirlTECH lesson page.
