- Start with 1 in the first space in Card No. 1. Put an increasing power of 2 in the first spaces of the other cards.
- Then place the remaining numbers in every card that you need to produce its sum. For example, 28 goes in cards 3, 4, and 5, because 4 + 8 + 16 = 28.
