This course is designed for K – 8 teachers to develop learners’ abilities to move among different 3-D representations. The focus is on 3-D models, 2-D pictures, symbolic representations, verbal description (oral and written) and Geocadabra, a dynamic computer interface. Concepts are aligned with the TEKS. Emphasis will be placed on spatial thinking and reasoning, problem solving, and use of manipulatives and technology.

Each teacher will receive course materials (including manipulatives and software) and professional development credit. Teachers who have participated in past RUSMP Geometry courses and interested newcomers are invited to enroll to deepen their knowledge of 3-D visualization.
