Required Textbook: Lecture Notes In Algebraic Topology by James F. Davis and Paul Kirk
Typos in "Lecture Notes in Algebraic Topology"

This class will essentially be a standard second year graduate algebraic topology class taught primarily from the book by Davis and Kirk. This is an essential course for anyone interested in working in topology. However, students planning to work in other areas of mathematics may also find the material beneficial. I plan to cover a considerable amount of the material from Chapters 4-9 in this book. It will be assumed that the student has a working knowledge the material from Math 445/540 and Math 464/564. In particular, I will assume that all students are familiar with higher homotopy groups, homology, cohomology and basic homological algebra.

Topics:
  1. Fiber bundles
  2. Homology with local coefficients
  3. Fibration and cofibrations
  4. Homotopy and relative homotopy groups
  5. Obstruction theory
  6. Bordism
  7. Spectra
  8. Spectral Sequences
  9. Group homology
