Sevak Mkrtchyan

I am currently a G.C. Evans instructor at Rice University. My mentor is Alexander Bufetov. I received a PhD from UC Berkeley in 2009 where I studied under the supervision of Nicolai Reshetikhin.

My Research interests are at the interface of probability, statistical mechanics, representation theory, and combinatorics. In particular I am interested in random tilings, random partitions and plane partitions, dynamical systems, determinantal point processes and asymptotic representation theory.
