Assessment:
Daily Assignments(40%): Due in class starting Friday January 13th. Homework assignments are not pledged. You are strongly encouraged to work together. However, you are not allowed to use solutions from the internet or to consult with students who took the class in a previous year. Moreover each student must write up her/his own homework.

Midterm exam (25%): This will consist of two parts. The first part is a 50-minute, in-class, closed-book exam. The second part is an open book, 2-hour(?), take-home test.

Final exam (35%): A closed-book three-hour take-home exam.

Any student with a documented disability needing academic adjustments or accommodations is requested to speak with me during the first two weeks of class. All discussions will remain confidential. Students with disabilities will need to also contact Disability Support Services in the Ley Student Center.
