Graduate Student Seminar: Complex Differential Geometry

Place: Hermann Brown 453
Time: MW 2-3PM (Starts January 17th)

Prerequisite: familiarity with basic complex analysis and willingness to learn new viewpoints
Topics chosen from the following: differential geometry in the complex plane, complex manifolds, bundles and sheaves in complex manifold theory, Hermitian and Kahler theory
Frequency: Twice a week, one hour each
Texts: Complex Geometry by D. Huybrechts, and Complex Differential Geometry by Fangyang Zheng
Remarks: At least one-third of the time will be spent discussing problems and exercises.
