Homework: By the recommendation of the department, we will be using the online homework and grading system: WebAssign. A sample can be found here.
Exams: There will be two in-class midterm exams and one comprehensive final exam. All exams are closed-book and closed notes and are subject to the Rice University Honor Code. You will not be allowed to use a calculator on the exams. It is the policy of the mathematics department that no final may be given early to accommodate student travel plans. We will not know when the final in this course will be scheduled for some time. Therefore, you should make plans for travel after you know the date of the final and complete the final exam before your travel! Thanks for your understanding.
