Rice University

Welcome

This Fall the Rice University Math Circle will meet on selected Sundays from 1:00-4:00 pm on the Rice University campus in The Herman Brown Hall for Mathematics in Room 227. Directions to our meetings can be found by following the "Directions" link shown above.

Each session will include a lecture on an easy-to-understand math topic followed by some games related to the lecture. To help you understand our math topic even more, we'll finish with some problems or a group project.

Our goal is to share with you why mathematicians find math so interesting and how it is a part of our everyday lives.

We welcome Houston area students from grades 8-11 and there are no required math classes to join. All interested students are encouraged to attend but please pre-register and fill out the consent form. This form is necessary so that we can use the Rice University facilities and should be turned in at your first meeting.
