The 36th meeting of the Texas Geometry and Topology Conference will be held on  October 27-29, 2006 at Rice University. This meeting will focus on recents results in low-dimensional Topology and related areas. There will be one talk on Friday night (8-9pm), 5 talks on Saturday, and 2 talks on Sunday (with the last talk ending at noon).

The Conference is supported by the National Science Foundation and Rice University. Everyone is welcome. There are no registration fees. However, please  register by October 13th (preferably earlier) if you plan to attend so that we can estimate the number of attendees.

There will be a complimentary dinner on Friday night in Herman Brown (the math building) for all participants. In lieu of the usual conference banquet, on Saturday night, we will go out to dinner at one of the fine yet affordable restaurants near Rice University. Unfortunately, you will have to pay for your own meal on Saturday night. Please let us know if you will attend these functions on your registration form. [We will need to make reservations and order food ahead of time, so please make sure to register by October 13th].

The Texas Geometry and Topology Conference is committed to the strengthening and enrichment of the mathematics personnel base. We will be able to offer some support for expenses. To apply for financial aid, please fill out the registration form. If order to receive financial support, you must register by  October 2nd. Graduate students, junior faculty, women, minorities, and persons with disabilities are especially encouraged to participate and to apply for support.
