I am an Associate Professor in the Mathematics Department at Rice University.

My research interests are in various aspects of Noncommutative Algebra, and I am especially interested in (quantum) symmetries of algebras. I also have interests in algebras with origins in physics, deformation theory, representation theory, and homological methods. For an introduction to Noncommutative Algebra, here's my NAM Claytor-Woodard Lecture at the 2021 Joint Mathematics Meetings, with Prezi presentation.

In 2014, I co-founded a research network and created the site & contact list for women and non-binary researchers in Noncommutative Algebra and Representation Theory (WINART). I led the WINART Research Network from 2014 to 2022, including co-organizing the WINART 1 workshop (2016), the WINART 2 workshop (2019), and the WINART 3 workshop (2022). WINART is now under new leadership, and I serve in an advisory role. Other events that I have co-organized include: Algebra Extravaganza! at Temple U. (2017); QuaSy-Con at UIUC (2019); and the MSRI semester on Quantum Symmetries (Spring 2020).

I am also an Associate Editor at the Communications of the American Mathematical Society, a new AMS journal that was launched in January 2021.
