Rice Undergraduate Conference for Mathematics Majors

Rice University, February 21-23, 2019

The goal of this conference is to expose current undergraduates from many universities to current research in mathematics. Research mathematicians will present recent results and open problems in a way that is accessible to junior and senior math majors. Graduate students and faculty are also welcome to attend.

Saturday: morning talks, afternoon problem sessions. Dinner.

Sunday: morning talks.

Logistical Information

We plan to provide financial support for travel expenses and lodging. Women, minorities, and persons with disabilities are especially encouraged to participate. Our funds are limited, so early requests will be given preference. Lodging reservations will be made directly by the Mathematics Department. We will cover other travel expenses if there are sufficient funds.

There is a question asking whether or not you would like to present a poster. It is totally optional. We will have a poster session if there is enough interest and it fits into the schedule. If you would like to present a poster, you may present on an expository or original topic.
