Course requirements for a Minor in Mathematics
You must have at least 18 credit hours in MATH at the 200 level or above, 12 of which are at the 300 level or above, and satisfy the breadth requirement below:
| Analysis: | MATH 302, 321/331, 381, or 382 |
| Discrete Mathematics and Algebra: | MATH 306, 356, 365, or 368 |
| Linear Algebra: | MATH 221, 354, or 355. |
Notes
An approved upper-level MATH course (other than 490 through 499) may be used to satisfy a breadth requirement.
Certain approved classes taken outside the mathematics department may be used to satisfy the breadth requirement in one area, but will not count toward the required 18 credit hours.
If a course is repeatable for credit, there may be restrictions on how it gets counted toward the degree; see the GA. At most 3 credit hours from MATH courses numbered 479 or 490 to 499 can be counted toward our requirements.

Official requirements for the MATH minor are posted in the General Announcements on the Registrar's website (available here). Please note that these are the definitive versions.
